I wasn't born knowing
how to look at cats.

In fact, for a long time they scared me.

I started out as a veterinarian 23 years ago, and dogs were my whole world. When a cat came into the clinic, I preferred a colleague to see him. Until one day one hissed at me and, once the fright passed, I asked myself a question: why was such a small animal so afraid of us?

That question changed the way I looked at them.

For years, in veterinary medicine we treated cats almost like “small dogs”. But they have their own language, their own needs and a different way of relating to the world. To understand them, you have to learn to look through a cat's eyes.

My curiosity, which is where I probably resemble them most, first led me to feline medicine and to training other vets. Later I wanted to bring that knowledge closer to families.

Disfruta con tu Gato was born in 2024. It started almost as play: tricks, teaching them to high-five, enjoying time together… But people started bringing much deeper questions, and the project evolved along with me.

Today, the way I accompany people brings together everything I've learned along this path: my veterinary experience, the emotional side, animal communication and energy work. I don't see them as separate things, but as different ways of understanding what's happening and looking at the cat as a whole.

I'm still a scientist, but also very curious. And that curiosity has taught me not to settle for what I already know, but to explore other ways of understanding the bond we share with our cats.

Because over time I've also discovered that they aren't just part of our family: often they show us things about ourselves, our emotions and the dynamics we live at home. And when we start to understand them better, sometimes we also start to understand ourselves better. That's what I try to do when I accompany a family: connect the pieces, translate what's complex, and help you understand what's happening, without judgement and without unnecessary jargon.

After 23 years I'm still learning from them. Maybe that's the part I like most about all of this: the more I learn to look through a cat's eyes, the more I discover about us too.

Purrs,
Ana ♡
